The restoration of services will come about after the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the application filed by the PNSC management, challenging the decision of the Federal Service Tribunal.
The PNSC sources said on Friday that the management issued letters to the former officers to payback the dues received by them at the time of termination by September 17, after that their services would be restored.
Sources said that about 80 of those officers attained the age of superannuation during the legal battle for restoration, and only 60 officers would be able to join the organisation.
Of the 60 able officers, benefited by the Supreme Court verdict, about 25 to 30 would complete the age of retirement during 2005, and the corporation would have to bear the burden of only 30 to 35 officers.
It pointed out that the PNSC started making operational profit after years of losses mainly due to oil transportation contract with refineries and purchase of new oil tankers.
